What is Hot and What is Not in Apeiron Battle Demo Season 2?
  • New Tempest Avatars

In Apeiron Battle Demo Season 1, The Wisdom is the only available Tempest Avatar. Apeiron Battle Demo Season 2 features two new Tempest Avatars, The Fate and The Fury, which Kyura feels have made the gameplay "very interesting."

New Avatars bring new skills, with a maximum of three skills that can be used per Avatar. A.G.tntree feels the "good design of Apostolic skills" is a gameplay advantage as it allows players to empower their Avatars by levelling them up in different ways. The best is yet to come, as in its June 2023 Dev Report, Foonie Magus shared that they have "got some more Apostle skills baking in the oven right now."

  • Introducing Event Rooms

A new feature in Apeiron Battle Demo Season 2 is Event rooms, which bring lots of stories to discover. A.G.tntree feels that the "diverse Events" in Season 2 is a gameplay advantage as it adds an extra dimension to the game.

Completing stories in Event rooms bring rewards such as Artifacts. However, Kyura points out that "powerful Artifacts such as Horizon and TimeTwist are so hard to find."

  • Same Battle Scene

One thing that has remained the same in Apeiron Battle Demo Season 2 is the battle scene. A.G.tntree feels that the "single battle scene" in Season 2 is a gameplay disadvantage as the scene can be a bore, especially for true-blue Apeiron fans who play the game for hours.

Fret not, however, as in its June 2023 Dev Report, Foonie Magus shared that "different arenas" is one of the things to look out for in the future.

In preparation for the Apeiron Guild Wars Season 2 Preliminary Tournament, we can learn a thing or two from the experience of some of Avocado DAO’s top players who participated in the Apeiron Guild Wars Leaderboard event.

Avatar Choice

  • If you prefer the turtling playstyle, go with The Fury, which according to Kyura, has “high health and defense.”

  • If you prefer the zoning playstyle, go with The Wisdom, which according to Kyura, has “low health, low-speed attack, but does great damage.”

  • If you prefer the rushdown playstyle, go with The Fate, which according to Kyura, has “high damage and high-speed attack.”

Path Selection

Keep a lookout for the Campfire, as you can use it to increase the level your avatar and apostle by one. If there is no Campfire, then go for the Flag or Shop. As RichYar puts it, “if there isn't a Campfire nearby, I need to look into the alternatives at the Flag or Store!”

Skills Deployment

Deploy stun card skills to put your opponents’ Avatars in a daze before using your Avatar's skills to inflict damage on them. As JimmyHead puts it, it's “all about spamming that Stun Card skill and rocking the Avatar skill like a boss.”
